"Grey's Anatomy" star Kate Walsh headed to one of the most romantic
places in the world, Rome, without her hubby Alex Young. What gives?
The actress went on her Italian getaway with some friends, and they
took in the sights of the city in a busy day of shopping and
sightseeing. Kate even managed to make a stop at the legendary Trevi
Fountain, where she tossed a coin and made a wish. What did she wish
for? An end to the writers' strike perhaps? Maybe she wished that she
would hear the pitter-patter of little feet soon (it's the latest
trend!).

First of all, Kate the guy in the pic is her make up artist and the woman is her manager.
Second, Kate is NOT on vacation. She is promoting her show Private Practice all over Europe. She was just in Germany and will be in Spain (Madrid) on the 17th for the Premiere Party of Private Practice.
Third, Kate's husband is the copresident of production at 20th Century Fox so he has a important job and can not follow Kate everywhere.
