I read some time ago Hilary had been cast to portray Amelia Earhart in a film based on her life - hence, the hairstyle! Pretty good likeness I would say......
I'm appalled that you, MD 20/20 are a professional blogger and are unaware of Swank's current biopic on Amelia Earhart. Do some research before you assume a new and drastic 'do is meant to be a personal fashion statement. And even if it was, Hilary would just be going against the grain as she always has. Get out from under your rock and get up to speed!

Alright, just have to share. Was called Tina/Brandon for awhile after Boy's Don't Cry b/c I happen to look a little like HS...expecially when I was growing my hair out at the same time. Now, after a blissful period of not sharing looks/hairstyle/almost birthday (I went blond and short), she's now gone for the short blond hair. It's possible that we are twins separated at birth. Again.
