When Guttenberg "Attacks"

Well, on the positive side, people all over the Internet are saying, "So that's what happened to Steve Guttenberg..." this morning.

Amazing he reacted so violently. First off, he should be thrilled for the publicity...that anyone cared. Secondly, I know 2 people who are acquainted with him personally and he's supposed to be a really warm, nice guy.

Is he serious? His expression is almost comical. I mean...really.

Bull, Steve had to be just kidding around. My wife and I met him just last Sunday at a local pizza parlor near where his parents live and he was warm, friendly and very approachable. We talked with him for almost 30 minutes while we all ate pizza. Then he posed for a picture with us. I'd venture to say he was just having some fun with you guys.

These are a joke right? They don't look real. They look like a joke. Everyone else is noticing that right? That this is a joke. It just doesn't look serious.

So staged! If this is true, then why is he always looking at the camera, and not the guy taking the pictures. This hoax is all well and good, but AOL is reporting this as 'fact' on their front page. Shame on AOL...

You know, maybe he was just having a bad day and didn't want his personal life splashed all over the front page. I mean honestly, it would get REALLY OLD if you could not even take a jog or eat a banana without feeling stalked! I wish they would make some sort of law to put a STOP to all of this medis bulls**t and make them let people lead their personal lives in peace. I bet if people started following them around every minute of the day they would get a little miffed about it to. So I say "KUDOS" to you Steve, I wish you could have punched them one good time for me!

Clearly more bullshit spewed out by people who have failed at life and must instead latch on to the lives of celebrities in a last-ditch effort to gain some sense of purpose.

He didn't just randomly flip out, there is clearly some story behind the pictures that we are not being told. Story is a joke, get real jobs.

when i was looking at the photos, my comment to my sister was that they look like he was playing with those guys, I know Steven from his past, way back when and he is way too nice to just lash out at these guys. He loves to joke and thats probably exactly what he is doing.

Of course it's a setup. He's a good actor, popular actor but seems to get crappy roles. When Dancing With The Stars didn't give him any movie opportunities then why not court the pappies. Then everybody will be talking about him, he'll get on the talk shows. He'll be a name again. Bravo.

Its easy to get angry at the paparrazi but he should of handle it in a different way. He is a good actor very funny but hes older now and this type of behaviour would be acceptable for someone who his 20's and immature but not for someone who is in his 40's. He should kept his cool and simply walk away its not worth getting physical with these people.

I know these guys are public figures, but that doesn't give the media the right to harass their private lives 24/7. From what I've seen of the money/story-hungry media, and until laws get passed that protect from privacy intrusions, it looks like more and more of this type of reaction from celebs is going to happen. The harassment and intrusions are inexcusable, and I for one commend the celebs that react like this - or at least understand why. Media types always portray this as negative and unacceptable behavior - when it's the media that's the real annoyance. Whatever reaction these guys get from folks, is either well-deserved or at least understandable!

We are supposed to think "Oh Steve Gutenberg, you are so controversial," but his poses are so stupidly fake and posed that I don't think he's fooling anyone. You can't blame the guy for trying to jump start his career with a little controversy, but I'm afraid you can't pretend to be controversial.

Look at this picture for example. Look at his fist. It it were moving at fast rate of speed it would have motion blur, but it doesn't. It's a little out of focus because the camera is focused on Steve's face. The bottom line is that all these pictures are fake

One more example. There are two pictures Steve throwing a punch. It's amazing how the photographer doesn't even flinch before he's being hit, and the camera is perfectly centered. No tilt at all.

guttenberg used to live here in Pacific Palisades, California, where he was our honorary Town Mayor for a year. I ran into him twice in the village - once at a gas station while we both pumped gas into our cars, and once at a partysupplies store. On the latter encounter he had two children with him. He's a really nice guy - I think he was just having a lot of fun with a stupid papparazzo.

I never said we should care about whether this guy is a turw celebrity, popular celebrity, or just the guy next door that somehow mades the headlines - the point is that the press is totally out of control and needs to have common sense privacy boundaries implemented. If you or I behaved like the press anywhere to anyone, we'd be arrested immediately. It's disgusting, and, unfortunately, if it take s few folks to lose their tempers and create a few black eyes, I'm not losing any sleep over it. The press - human parasites of the Earth.

Celebs should be able to "attack" these morons . They taking it too far . There should be a law where they have to stay atleast 20 yards from the person .

This picture is old. Steve is gray and much older now. Not to mention, he is a clow and this picture is obviously of him goofing off. Don't spin it in another direction for pictures only. That's not fare.

He was reportedly signed-up to play in the Travelers Celebrity Pro Am golf tournament,in Cromwell, Ct. on that same day, the 18th, along with Aidan Quinn and Luke Wilson, but didn't.Too bad, 'cause he is a good golfer and entertaining, too. Good to see he was keeping up his potassium intake while on the run in upper Manhattan, tho!

Here is what does it for me. Look at the photo of Steve eating the banana. His hat is forward. Do you mean to tell me that before losing his temper so badly as to commit assault on another citizen he would actually take the time to flip his hat around before jumping onto the other photos? Which celebrity fights a photographer and exposes their faces even better to the camera?... No, he was getting into character. Otherwise it would be a first in the history of Celebrities Vs.
