As conspiracy theories about what went wrong begin fly about, we have our own:
John Mayer could not give both his feathered haircut and his lady the attention they deserved. Jen forced him to choose one or the other. He chose her, shaved his head, and was instantly filled with regret. The ensuing emotional trauma over the loss of his fluffy mane wore on him, and eventualy tore them apart.
Or not.
Well, John. It might be tough at first, but we're still willing to take you back... after everything.
